• What makes Gaia an eco-friendly, sustainable product? Gaia is the first collection of sustainably made vibrators made from the proprietary materials Blush BioFeel™, a petroleum-free plant-based bioplastic, a polymer compound blended with plant material, and BioTouch™, a natural rubber material with high tensile strength and tear resistance.
• What is BioFeel™? BioFeel™ is Blush's unique plant-based bioplastic, a polymeric material mixed with plant materials. This material is an ideal choice for a vibrator because it is non-porous, making it safe for the body and easy to clean.
• What is BioTouch™? BioTouch™ is Blush's patented version of the natural rubber material. It meets stringent mechanical and chemical requirements and is durable but soft enough for pleasure products.
• What does petroleum-free mean? Petroleum-free products are not based on petroleum. The plant part of PLA is petroleum-free and our natural rubber is petroleum-free.
• What can I do with my toy when I'm done with it? Your Gaia vibrator can be disassembled into parts, and the individual parts can be taken to various commercial compo sites.
• How is the charging cable environmentally friendly? The Gaia charging cable is wrapped in cotton instead of plastic and has a BioFeel™ head instead of the traditional plastic head.
• How is the new packaging more environmentally friendly? The new Gaia packaging is made from artisanal paper without spot UV or film, which are petroleum-based and recycled, making the paper harder to recycle. The ink we use on our new Gaia packaging is a natural soy-based ink!
• How long does it take for Gaia to compost? Under composting conditions, the shell decomposes in about 2-3 years.
• Will Gaia break down in the body? Gaia will absolutely not break down in the body. Gaia products are subjected to rigorous external testing and are proven to be safe for the body.
• What are the benefits of buying a Gaia product instead of another vibrator? Gaia products are more sustainable and better for the planet.
